Terms & Conditions

These terms outline the policies and procedures for orders, production, and services provided by Green Lakes Pressing. By placing an order, you agree to comply with these terms, ensuring smooth operations and mutual understanding. Please review them carefully to avoid misunderstandings and ensure a seamless process.

Payments:

A 50% deposit is required to start the project. After test pressing approval, an updated estimate will be provided, and another 50% payment is due before production begins. The balance must be paid before shipping. Adjustments to the original order that affect the total cost will be communicated and agreed upon prior to continuation.

Methods of Payment:

You can pay with credit card, PayPal, wire transfer, or Wise. Once your order is confirmed via email, a customer service representative will provide you with payment instructions and a detailed cost estimate.

Copyright Compliance:

By placing an order, you confirm that you own the copyrights or have permission to reproduce the materials. Ensuring compliance with copyright laws is your responsibility. Orders may be canceled if requirements are not met, and legal actions could follow. All permissions must be secured and verifiable before production.

Cancellation:

To cancel an order, notify us in writing promptly. You are responsible for costs incurred up to cancellation, including master plates, stampers, and print work. If records are produced, those costs will also apply. Please review all order details carefully before submission to avoid losses.

Production Variations:

The variations are inherent in the manufacturing process and do not constitute defects. Color vinyl may show slight tone variations, and traces of other colors might appear. Overruns or underruns of up to 10% are standard and will be reflected in the invoice. Vinyl record weights may vary by +/- 10% of the stated weight.

Sound and Print Quality:

Variations in tonal balance and loudness may occur during the transition to analog. Supplied pre-masters are treated as final and we are not responsible for flaws or recut costs. For the best results, order mastering services with us to receive proofs and revisions before cutting. Design files must follow our templates and be ready for offset printing. We are not liable for color deviations, misalignment, or rework costs due to insufficiently prepared files.

Masterplates:

Unless instructed otherwise, we will select lacquer or DMM based on the quality of the vinyl pre-master, the characteristics of the recording, and our commitment to achieving the highest quality output. If you have a specific preference for the cutting method, please inform us in writing prior to order approval.

Shipping and Storage:

We ship to 2 destinations per order without administration fees; additional shipments will incur a fee per destination. Metal parts are stored for up to one year and can be returned before disposal. Produced goods are stored free for 30 days after production, after which storage fees apply. Storage under distribution agreements follows contract terms, so please review for specifics. Excess labels and covers are not stored after shipping unless prior arrangements are made.
